This position exists at the heart of that trust equation. You will be the individual families turn to when something doesn't feel right, when they seek clarity, or when they want to discuss what truly matters. Not as a transactional function—but because you have earned that standing. How you show up will define their experience with their child's education at one of Alpha's five California locations: Palo Alto, Piedmont, downtown San Francisco, La Jolla, or South Bay (Los Angeles).

Students complete their core academics in two hours per day using AI-powered platforms, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and real-world application. No traditional lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Top 1% academic outcomes nationwide. Our families are informed, well-connected, and often skeptical by nature. They value sharp thinking over rehearsed messaging.

You will steward these conversations over the long term. Not only during enrollment, but across multiple years. You will speak confidently about AI—its mechanics, its shortcomings, and its significance—particularly with families who launch companies, invest capital, or demand precision in all aspects of decision-making. If you cannot sustain that caliber of dialogue, this role will prove demanding. If you can, it becomes one of the most intellectually rewarding positions in education.

This is not relationship management in the conventional sense. This is enduring trust-building with ultra-high-net-worth families who expect discretion, judgment, and reliability. What You Will Be Doing

• Steward the complete relationship with every family at your campus, cultivating trust that deepens over time
• Identify concerns proactively and address them with discretion, urgency, and clear judgment
• Be visibly present during critical touchpoints: morning arrival, afternoon departure, and thoughtfully designed parent events
• Facilitate ongoing, substantive discussions about Alpha's AI-powered approach with analytically rigorous, tech-fluent families
• Create and iterate on community experiences that foster belonging, advocacy, and organic referral activity

• Managing enrollment pipelines or admissions metrics—your work begins once families have joined
• Operating remotely or relying solely on email—this role demands physical presence
• Using scripts or avoiding difficult questions about AI or educational philosophy
• Depending on established processes—you will create structure where none currently exists
• Viewing families as transactional accounts—this role values judgment over task execution
  
  

Director Of Community Partnerships Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain enduring trust with ultra-high-net-worth families, driving long-term retention, advocacy, and confidence in Alpha's AI-powered educational approach.

Basic Requirements

• Located in or able to commute daily to Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, La Jolla, or Los Angeles
• 5 years of direct experience working with UHNW individuals or families in contexts such as private schools, private equity, family offices, or high-touch client service environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-stakes relationships with discretion and strong judgment
• Daily, active user of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) with the capability to articulate AI strengths, weaknesses, and practical implications
• Confident presence and communication style that builds credibility with highly educated, demanding families
• Knowledge of private or independent school environments, gained professionally or personally
• Flexibility to be available for early morning, late afternoon, and occasional evening or weekend events

• Established connections within local private school or UHNW circles
• Background working with founders, investors, or technology executives
• Proven success building communities or programming that generates organic referrals
• Experience in early-stage or fast-growth settings with high degrees of ambiguity

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
