In your first year, you will internalize the operational model; as you demonstrate the ability to uphold standards, advancement to Lead Guide becomes available, where you mentor new team members while continuing direct student engagement.

What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour life-skills sessions for K-8 groups on public speaking, concentration, feedback culture, and other foundational competencies, modifying existing frameworks and creating new workshops when you identify unmet needs
- Conducting daily individual and small-group coaching sessions that drive every student to 100% completion of weekly app objectives, leveraging Coachbot data, Alpha's reward structures (campus currency, competitive leaderboards), and personal rapport to overcome resistance
- Delivering the Test2Pass (Alpha's competency verification tool) for each life skill, and continuing to coach students who do not initially pass until mastery is achieved
- Adjusting your approach across a broad developmental spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high-energy engagement and physical activity to 8th graders needing candid conversation and personal accountability
- Serving as both the adult who maintains rigorous expectations and the adult students choose to confide in; genuine connection earns the credibility to challenge, and challenging communicates your confidence in their capability
- Delivering whiteboard-based instruction; academic content is embedded in the applications, not instructor-led
- Creating curricula from the ground up; you activate a tested framework through energy and narrative
- Passively monitoring students at workstations; motivation in this model is engaged, individualized, and sustained
- Reducing a weekly target to enable a student to reach it; when a student falls behind, the solution is supporting the student, not adjusting the standard
- Assessing homework, conducting standardized exam preparation, or handling parent outreach; Campus Leads manage family communication, and the other tasks do not exist in this environment

Basic Requirements
- Available to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston, TX (Central, South, or The Woodlands); Park City, UT — relocation assistance provided
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 students (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management)
- A concrete example you can articulate of motivating a K-8 student toward a challenging objective: the objective itself, your specific actions, and the result
- Comfort allowing AI to deliver instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life-skills development
- Regular use of generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship (or in Canada for the Toronto location)
- Background in youth sports coaching, debate programs, camp leadership, theater, or after-school initiatives where you held direct accountability for motivating young people toward defined outcomes
- Demonstrated record of exceptional performance (academic, athletic, or professional), such that maintaining high standards for others reflects consistent personal practice, not adopted rhetoric
- Communication and presence skills capable of sustaining the attention of a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without needing to elevate your voice
- Proven ability to convert disengaged or reluctant students into committed, active learners
