About the Role
Truck drivers are depended upon to get equipment and materials to the jobsites on time and help load and unload.
Successful candidate must have experience with heavy haul, semi, or flatbed trucks. Must be willing to do day travel and occasional overnight stays.
Drug screen, physical and criminal background check is required of successful candidates.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Transporting company equipment and materials using Tractor trailer combination
- Completing moves in EMS (Equipment Management System) and notifying the truck coordinator of any moves that are not in the system.
- Taking and upload pictures in box of all equipment and materials as you on load and off load at the jobs. Documenting any damage that is obvious.
- Securing all loads to ensure the safety of the driver and others on the road. Also to prevent any damage to the machine (doors, hatches, and windows).
- Doing post and pre trip inspections on trucks making repair request in the EMS when needed.
- Keep trucks and trailers clean and minimize damage to truck and trailers.
- Keeping a travel bag ready for overnight stays and or night shift work.
- Operating other vehicles such as concrete mixer truck, Pnuematic trailer, and end dump.
- Drivers must comply to all DOT rules and regulations.
