We’re looking for an experienced Facility Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a secure office building. This role is hands-on with building control systems, HVAC, boiler, and chiller systems, while also supporting budgeting, vendors, and tenant comfort.
What You’ll Do
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC, boiler, and chiller systems
- Perform and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
- Oversee vendors and contractors, review service work, and ensure quality
- Assist with facilities budgeting, cost tracking, and capital planning
- Support safety, code compliance, and security procedures in a government-occupied building
- Serve as primary contact for occupants on facility issues and service requests
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of commercial facilities or building maintenance experience
- Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, boilers, and chillers
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
- Ability to read technical manuals and equipment documentation
- Basic computer skills (work order systems, email, Excel/Word)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-service mindset
Preferred (Not Required):
- Technical school, trade program, or HVAC-related training
- HVAC or boiler/chiller licenses/certifications
- CFM, FMP, SMP
- Experience in government, high-security, or critical facilities
- Experience assisting with maintenance/facilities budgets
