About Us
Crosskeys Towing & Road Service, Inc., specializes in Heavy-Duty Truck towing and basic roadside repairs for medium and heavy duty units.
Employees work from our 5-bay truck shop in Mansfield. Customer work is typically performed roadside.
We are looking to add an experienced & competent Heavy Tow Truck Operator who will be able to assist customers with heavy towing needs and/or basic roadside repairs.
What This Position Involves:
- Some towing experience is required; additional training provided
- CDL class A is ESSENTIAL
- Necessary endorsements: Tanker, Double-Triples; Hazmat not essential but preferable
- Afternoon/Evening/Night Shift (somewhat negotiable)
- Weekend and holiday on-call rotation
- Must be able to pass drug test and possess clean driving record
Pay Scale, Etc.
- Dual Wage Potential: In-Shop Wage - this is a base rate that employees receive for ALL time on clock; this rate is based on mechanical expertise of individual. Out-of-Shop Wage - this is an ADDITIONAL hourly wage that is paid for out-of-shop work, such as towing, breakdown service, or recovery; these rates are the same for all employees and are based on the type of work being done. The additional out-of-shop wage is paid port-to-port, from time of departure (from home base) until time of return.
- PAY RANGES - BASE RATE: $25 - $40/hour, depending on experience and applicable skills brought to table (e.g. level of mechanical ability); REMOTE WORK: $15 - $40 per hour, in ADDITION to base rate
- ADDITIONAL REMUNERATION: On-Call Pay - employee is paid to remain in the area during on-call period and respond immediately in event of service request; Call-In Pay - if employee responds to a service request when not on call, a call-in amount is paid; Overtime potential
- Work week: Sunday to Saturday
- Weekly pay (Friday)
- Paid vacation after one year; paid holidays after 90 days
