Job Summary:
The Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for providing professional therapy/counseling, crisis management, and advocacy for patients. This individual consults with and advises medical and clinical staff on mental health and co-occurring issues of patients.

Qualifications
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receives Behavioral Health therapy referrals, provides individual and group therapy/counseling, maintains and records all pertinent patient information in a secure and accurate manner
- Completes timely and accurate assessment and treatment documentation
- Discharges patients in alignment with treatment progress
- Collaborates with patients engaged in behavioral health and medical services
- Manages the care of patients in collaboration with other health professionals and other treatment members, both internally and externally
- Participates in clinical supervision and/or clinical consultation, based upon licensure
- May be required to work across multiple sites
- Vigilant to safety concerns and takes appropriate steps to ensure both patient and staff safety
- Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience:
- Master’s Degree in clinical social work, psychology or related field required
- LSW, LPC, or equivalent first level licensure required upon hire or within 1 year of hire
- LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent full clinical licensure highly preferred. Must be attained within 2 years of hire.
- Successful work history of direct patient counseling
- CEUs and clinical supervision offered onsite
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in conditions that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues, contagious diseases and/or other potentially hazardous materials
- Moderate physical exertion including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 25 lbs.)
Salary : $50,000 - $79,000
