Summary/Objective
The WMS Applications Manager role is responsible for the ownership and technical management of the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) at Crossgate Logistics. This includes system configuration, upgrade planning and execution, vendor and customer liaison, integration development, and Level 3 production support. The role also oversees the design and maintenance of custom MOCA/SQL solutions, documentation, and training resources.
This position also owns the company’s automation systems, specifically the AutoStore ASRS and its Blue Yonder client interface, ensuring operational continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and integration with the WMS. The role requires expertise in both the functional and technical aspects of Blue Yonder WMS, along with a strong understanding of system capabilities and limitations.
Essential Functions

- Own the configuration, technical management, and upgrade path of the Blue Yonder WMS.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot custom MOCA, SQL, and Groovy-based processes, reports, and integrations.
- Design and support inbound/outbound EDI/API and file-based integrations with carriers, customers, and vendors (e.g., 940/945 flows, SPS, ShipStation, Shippo, Cornerstone, Atadex).
- Provide Level 3 production support, including incident resolution, root cause analysis, and vendor escalation as required.
- Manage the AutoStore ASRS system, including responsibility for the BY client interface (web page), ensuring WMS integration, uptime, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Lead testing efforts for upgrades, integrations, and automation as well as the creation and maintenance of test plans.
- Document system processes, configurations, and training materials for internal teams.
- Liaise with vendors and customers to resolve issues, manage deliverables, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Partner with warehouse operations and IT teams to identify, design, and deliver scalable WMS solutions.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives by analyzing operational workflows and recommending configuration changes.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum two (2) years of logistics or supply chain experience with a strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Minimum three (3) years of IT experience, preferably in application support, database management, or systems integration.
- Direct experience with Blue Yonder WMS is highly preferred; other warehouse or logistics ERP/WMS systems considered with demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge.
- Able to maintain a regular work schedule.
- Must speak, read and understand English fluently.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of staff and company information.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets. This job also operates in a warehouse environment and may be exposed to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment, and being exposed to seasonal inclement weather conditions.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is an exempt position. Exempt employees are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities. Overtime or additional compensation is not provided to exempt employees. Position is eligible for annual company performance bonus. Must be able to maintain our regular schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. However, additional hours may be required to meet company deadlines.
