Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Personal Trainer/ group fitness coach to join our dynamic fitness team. This role involves designing personalized training programs, providing guidance on exercise techniques, running group classes and fostering a positive environment that encourages clients to reach their full potential.
Duties
- Conduct initial assessments of clients’ fitness levels and health histories to develop tailored training programs.
- Run a group fitness class.
- Attend all community events.
- Design and implement effective workout plans that align with clients’ goals, taking into consideration their individual needs and limitations.
- Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and safety protocols to ensure client safety during workouts.
- Monitor client progress through regular evaluations and adjust training programs as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Engage in fitness sales by promoting personal training services to potential clients within the health club.
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals to enhance client experiences and contribute to a supportive gym community.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in fitness, anatomy, physiology, and program design to provide the best service possible.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in personal training or related fields such as sports coaching or fitness sales is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and program design principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire clients.
- Sales experience within a health club or gym environment is advantageous.
- Certification from a recognized organization in personal training or related field is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
