Job Summary
Responsible for delivering a high quality class experience for all members as well as the growth and improvement of CFL. All CFL coaches strive to improve their knowledge and education continuously and hold CFL members to the highest standard for movement quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually (10min before class start time), be set up and in proper dress attire for all classes
- Study and comprehend all exercises and class programming prior to teaching a class.
- Responsible for day-to-day facility operations and cleanliness
- Ensure athletes perform movements to the highest standards.
- Attend and assist in any special events provided by CFL.
- Maintain open line of communication with head coach and upper management staff as well as attend all CFL meetings when required
- Educate, Entertain and Inspire every client that comes through the door.
- Ensure all movements are taught, practiced, reviewed and evaluated. Provide feedback and coaching as appropriate to ALL clients. This includes both simple and technical movements. Provide appropriate scaling options (3 up/3 down). Tactfully explain your reason for scaling the athlete up or down.
- Responsible for the safety of the class environment.
Qualifications
- A highly proficient understanding of the fundamentals of CrossFit principles and practices and a CrossFit level 1 Certification, or USAW level 1 or higher certification preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational, planning and facilitation skills including time management skills
- Supervisory and sales experience preferred
- Superior ability to establish relationships and confidence in self and institution, quickly and easily.
- Ability to plan, set and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
Hours and Expectations
This position is Part Time. That being said, your physical and psychological health are a priority. We encourage staff to utilize the gym and take full advantage of classes and other gym offerings.
