Responsibilities- Coach CrossFit group classes in a safe, engaging, and professional manner.
- Provide movement demonstrations, scaling options, and individualized coaching to athletes of all experience levels.
- Ensure proper movement mechanics and maintain a safe training environment.
- Build genuine relationships with members and create an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere.
- Arrive prepared for each class, including setup and cleanup of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility.
- Encourage member accountability, attendance, and long-term success.
- Assist with onboarding and integrating new members into the community.
- Support gym events, competitions, specialty programs, and community activities.
- Communicate effectively with the coaching staff and management.
- Represent CFDTSA with professionalism both inside and outside the gym.
- Continue developing coaching knowledge through ongoing education and professional growth.
- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe.
- CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain before employment).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for health, fitness, and helping others succeed.
- Ability to coach athletes of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
- Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2).
- Previous CrossFit or group fitness coaching experience.
- Experience with Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and endurance coaching.
- Personal training certification (NSCA, NASM, ACE, ACSM, etc.).
- Experience with nutrition coaching or lifestyle coaching.
- First Aid certification.
- Comfortable using gym management software (such as Wodify) and basic technology.
- Ability to coach specialty classes (Olympic lifting, gymnastics, endurance, strength, beginners, etc.).
