The role of the CrossFit Trainer is to guide and motivate athletes through programmed workouts, under the CrossFit Methodology. We are looking for individuals who want to make an impact in the fitness of our members and help them achieve their goals in and out of the gym. You will work directly under our Director of Coaching and Ownership Group.
Responsibilities
Candidates should demonstrate an excellent understanding of the CrossFit methodology as it pertains to coaching, leadership, and managerial skills to effectively lead all CrossFit classes and specialty classes at CrossFit Anaheim. This job is expected to work in conjunction with the support and guidance of any management staff and ownership. All coaches should be able to coach any level of athlete, from beginner to advanced athletes and/or competitors. Coaches should be self-motivated and team players with the ability to get along with all personality types directed toward growing and strengthening the CFA community and membership base. Part-time is considered anything below 20 group class hours per week. The part-time designation does not include any private training or personal training hours.
Qualifications
- 1 years of CrossFit or functional fitness training as an athlete.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- CrossFit Level 1 (CF-L1 or CF-OL1) certification, but preference will be given for additional qualifications such as (CF-L2, USAW Certs, and other CrossFit course certifications)
- Active Basic Life-Saving CPR/AED Certification
- Ability to connect with athletes and build community.
- Ability to motivate others and implement new ideas.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to be on time to all meetings, events, and early to all classes coaching.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to use a combination of verbal, tactile, and visual cues to demonstrate movement patterns.
