Our client is looking for an HR Generalist in Kokomo, IN!
This contract opportunity (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate) offers a starting pay rate range of $22 to $25.28hour (benefits are available).
Position is 100% onsite.
Job Description:
Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policies. Manage the day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc. Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforce. Support the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodology. Drive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiatives. Assist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements

Experiences:
- Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experience
- Utilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee development
- Analyze and utilize data to make decisions
- Experience with managing conflict and having difficult conversations
- Demonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 1 years of experience in Human Resources or related field
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Able to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goals
- Manufacturing experience is highly desirable
