Insurance Analyst

The Loan Services team is looking for an Insurance Analyst who will focus on the following responsibilities:

• Order current property valuations, from vendor website by reviewing appraisal and identifying number of buildings, number of stories, building construction type, etc.
• Compile summaries of outstanding items for borrowers with multiple loans.
• Communicate with insurance agencies, prior servicers and/or borrowers to obtain evidence of renewal of certificates/policies/policy endorsements.
• Request insurance and tax premiums shortages, as needed.
• Review escrow analysis for accuracy
• Assist Borrowers/Agents re: incoming inquiries involving insurance disputes, insurance requirements, premium payments and cancellation notices.
• Keep manager updated on problems, issues, and production flow.
• Assist with special projects, as needed.
  
  

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree or Insurance license equivalent to a plus; need a minimum of two years related commercial insurance experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Experience with HUD, Client, and Freddie Mac, as well as tax experience a plus.

• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform in a strong customer-oriented team environment utilizing strong leadership skills, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidate needs to be able to communicate well with those in the insurance industry.
