Shipping Clerk Description
CrossCom National, LLC is a recognized industry leader in retail voice, POS and data communications network implementation and maintenance. CrossCom National is the single source partner retailers depend on for in-store communications networking requirements.
In this important role the Shipping Clerk will ship items by picking equipment against pick list or order queue, verify accuracy of equipment during packing, pack for shipment and generating outbound shipping label according to customer request. Monitor multiple order backlogs daily, deliver product to the assembly and repair departments when required, and insure all orders are filled daily. Follow varying guidelines by customer for picking process. Feed inventory for repair department upon demand to insure safety stock levels of finished goods are met.
Assemble kits from bill of material lists to prepare for the assembly and repair team, and ship kit based upon customer requirements. Verify accuracy of asset tags and confirm all equipment has been assembled, kitted, programmed and repaired according to customer requirements
Locate finished goods inventory daily into assigned bin locations and organize by customer and model type. Maintain safety levels of various programmed models by feeding repair team and communicating needs daily.
- Work in tandem with the company's supervisors, managers and peers to secure a seamless transition from shift to shift and resolve any problems in the transition
- Resolve daily problems pertaining to production, referring the situations to the supervisors or escalating the situation to the Logistics Manager
- Maintain quality service by following organization standards
- Maintain daily workload in order to meet shipping & receiving deadlines
- Manage own timeliness to insure productivity standards are met
- The tasks are subject to change without notice in an effort to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency
- Work collectively with other team members to achieve goals set forth by management.
Requirements/Skills
- Previous shipping experience
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environment with high order and receipt volume
- Knowledge of working inventory systems; asset tagging, bin locations, stock transfers, cycle counting
- Experience using asset tags in a barcode based inventory environment
- Must have basic knowledge of MS Applications; Word and Excel. Experience using email and navigating window and internet applications
- Excellent multi-tasking skills; Must be self motivated
- Demonstrated ability to be organized and detail oriented
- Capability of making decisions by following pre-determined guidelines
- Familiarity with automated courier tools (i.e. Federal Express, DHL, Airborne, UPS) a plus
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends upon request.
- Must be able to work a variable 1st shift (10:30am-7pm and 11am-7:30pm) with overtime possibly required daily before or after shift
- Physically able to climb step ladders, lift 50 lbs repetitively and be on feet for 8 hours continuously
- Familiarity with Pick/Pack/Ship processes is necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to prioritize tasks independently following established guidelines
- Demonstrated work history of consistent attendance
- High school diploma or GED required

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
