What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Director position at Crossbridge Church?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Vendor & Resource Management
● Serve as the primary point of contact for all facilities vendors, such as irrigation, landscaping, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, cleaning services, etc.
● Build, maintain, and manage strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, responsiveness, and cost-effective service.
● Supervise vendor access and quality of work. Communicate recommendations or concerns to leadership.
● Maintain documentation including vendor contact lists, service schedules, warranties, manuals, and maintenance logs.
● Order, manage, and replenish supplies, paper goods, and other facility-related materials.
● Exercise stewardship and accountability over church assets and resources.
● Authorize routine repairs and purchases within an approved threshold; expenses exceeding this threshold require prior leadership approval.
● Develop and account for the annual facility and maintenance budget.
2. Facilities Oversight & Maintenance
● Create daily workflows to ensure building is maintained is optimal condition
○ Proactively identify facility needs and take initiative on improvements such as storage organization, minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and space optimization.
● Conduct weekly facility walkthroughs using an established checklist
● Submit a weekly facilities report noting observations, completed tasks, priorities, and follow-up items.
● Perform testing (as scheduled) of building systems and safety equipment (as applicable), including lighting, elevator, and routine HVAC checks.
○ Complete quarterly preventative maintenance tasks to preserve building systems, equipment, and campus appearance.
○ Maintain working knowledge of building operations, including permits, inspections, basic plumbing, electrical awareness, and general handywork.
● Provide minor repairs and light maintenance duties (within ladder reach), including filter changes, painting touch-ups, fixture repairs, and similar tasks.
3. Cleaning, Reset, and Readiness
● Manage and coordinate with the contracted cleaning company to ensure routine cleaning standards are met.
● Perform touch up cleaning as needed between scheduled cleanings or in preparation for services, meetings, and special events (ex. spot cleaning, quick resets, trash removal, surface wipe downs).
● Ensure daily or pre-event reset of key areas to support weekly ministry operations, including kitchens, meeting rooms, common areas, and restrooms including, but not limited to:
○ Prepare facilities before and after events to ensure spaces are orderly, welcoming, and ministry ready.
○ Oversee general readiness of all rooms and meeting spaces, ensuring they are properly set, stocked, and presentable, even when deep cleaning is performed by an external vendor.
4. Grounds, Safety & Compliance
● Maintain campus grounds and sidewalks in accordance with Pinecrest city code.
● Responsible for city, county and state building related inspections, permits, etc.
● Monitor facilities for safety, risk, and compliance issues, escalating concerns promptly.
● Conduct basic lock-up and security checks when on-site.
● Report incidents involving property damage, safety hazards, or injuries in accordance with church and insurance protocols.
5. Ministry & Event Support
● Coordinate and execute setup and teardown for ministry events as required.
● Maintain a flexible schedule to support ministry needs and serve as the facilities point of contact (POC) for events including evenings and weekends.
● Be available on Sundays when requested, particularly for major ministry events such as Easter, Christmas, baptisms, and special services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 5-10 years of building management experience preferred.
● Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance, operations, and preventative care.
● Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative with moderate supervision.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and external vendors.
● Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work from a ladder, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods.
Salary : $25 - $27
