Maintenance Technician / Painter

Location: 401 2nd Ave S, Seattle, WA 98104

Crossbeam Investments, LLP, a Seattle-based property management company, is searching for a Maintenance Technician / Painter based in its Pioneer Square corporate office who will travel to commercial and residential properties throughout the Puget Sound region. The ideal candidate will possess basic maintenance skills and a construction background, as well as the ability to communicate with residents and vendors.

The schedule for this position is 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician / Painter:

• Unit Turns, including painting inside of units, repairs, light plumbing troubleshooting, light electrical, changing locks and replacing water heaters.
• Unit Work Orders such as clogged garbage disposals, toilets, sinks and tubs; leaky faucets, shower heads and anything the resident breaks.
• Light appliance repair, knobs, burners, heat elements, broken handles, etc.
• Daily walk of the grounds, vacuum and pick-up garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained.
• Schedule outside vendors as needed which could include carpet cleaners, housekeepers, carpet installers, plumbers, electricians, etc.
• Follow up with management on all repairs and work needed or completed.
• On-call for emergency calls such as fire, floods, emergency repairs, etc.
• Other duties as needed.
  
  

What the Successful Maintenance Technician / Painter will have:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician / Painter. Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred.
• Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work, basic appliance repair, plumbing and electrical.
• Heavy appliance and pool experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
• Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with manager.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.
  
  

Compensation:

• $25.00 to $30.00 per hour DOE
