Cross Roads Case Management is looking for a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) to join our team and support children ages 0–20 with developmental disabilities or skill deficits through our Adaptive Behavioral Community Support program.

As a BHP, you will work directly with children in their homes and in the community, helping them build communication, social, and daily living skills. You’ll use a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to help clients reach their goals and become as independent as possible.

What You'll Do

• Implement individualized treatment plan goals and support skill development.
• Help children build communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate regularly with families, service providers, and other members of the client's care team.
• Provide services using trauma-informed practices that emphasize strengths, privacy, individuality, choice, and cultural differences.
• Empower children and families to build on their strengths, resources, and natural supports.
• Develop positive, therapeutic relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Participate fully in required supervision, training, staff meetings, and other meetings.
• Complete required BHP Certification Training within 90 days of employment.
• Complete progress notes during the final 15 minutes of each session.
• Arrive prepared for each shift with a clear, goal-centered purpose.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Maine driver's license.
• Reliable, insured transportation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make well-reasoned decisions independently and as part of a team.

Important Work Requirements

• Attend scheduled appointments consistently.
• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with service providers involved in client care.
• Participate in required supervision and training.
• BHPs providing an average of 20 or more hours per week must receive 4 hours of supervision per month in accordance with state regulations.
• Pass required State of Maine, Child Protective, and Department of Motor Vehicle background checks.

Where You'll Work

BHP services are provided in clients' homes and in the community. This position includes:

• A minimum of quarterly travel to the Pittsfield office.
• Availability to attend required supervision.
• Working in homes with pets and in homes where cigarette smoking may occur.
• Attendance at all required supervision, trainings, staff meetings, and other meetings as directed by leadership.

Compensation

Full-time Behavioral Health Professionals will receive an hourly rate of $18.50 per hour.

Performance evaluations will be conducted annually on the employee's hire date. Based on overall performance, employees may be eligible to receive an annual performance bonus. Bonus amounts will vary based on the employee's evaluation rating. There will be no annual merit-based salary increases.

To earn the full base wage, employees are expected to maintain an average of 20 billable hours per week. Once a BHP achieves 20.00 billable hours in a week they will automatically will be paid for 40.00 hours.

Employees who exceed 20 billable hours in a workweek will receive additional compensation of $20.00 for each billable hour worked beyond the 18.5-hour threshold.

Employees are responsible for accurately documenting and submitting all billable hours in accordance with agency policies and payer requirements.
