We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this vital role, you will support the Dietary Manager in delivering high-quality food experiences that delight our residents and guests. Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
- Lead food preparation activities, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster teamwork and professional growth.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times.
- Monitor shift management tasks to ensure smooth transitions between meal periods.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced kitchens.
- Extensive background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management.
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and catering services.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, food safety protocols, and culinary techniques.
