Cross Road Retirement Community is seeking compassionate individuals who can provide long-term health care to individuals living in our senior community. We are looking for cheerful and positive PCA/CNA / MED TECH to join our team.
FULL TIME AND PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Starting pay PCA $13.25, CNA $13.75 MED TECH $14.25. Our shift premiums $0.50 for 2nd shift and $1.00 for 3rd on top of your base pay. Must be able to work every other weekend, this is not negotiable.
Essential Job Duties:
Under the direction of the Resident Care Director the following personal care duties may be performed in assisting the residents:
- Bathroom assistance
- Bed Making
- Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner assistance
- Foot care
- Support stocking assistance
- Encourages and offers fluids to provide adequate oral intake.
- Observes appearance and behavioral changes in the resident, by conversing with them and visually identifying from a reasonable distance and report to the Supervisor.
- Follows infection control standard precautions and safety policies per agency, state, and federal regulations. Uses personal protective equipment as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Certification as required by State regulations – PCA training provided at no cost for qualified applicants.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check state and federal.
- Must pass a drug screen THC included in the drug screen!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: The ability to transfer, lift, turn or assist a resident to or from beds, wheelchairs, and showers. This requires the ability to push, pull and lift from 25-75 lbs. unassisted. The ability to properly us all the equipment listed above as well as thermometers, blood pressure equipment, and everyday items. Being able to safety assist a resident with all transfers and ambulation. Must be able to move about in tight spaces and between objects, equipment, and furniture. Constant walking and standing are required, frequents bending, kneeling, and squatting are also required.
