Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, fabrication, and installation of custom cabinetry. This role involves working on various projects, from designing and building cabinets to installing them with precision. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction techniques, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in every task. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the restoration industry and manufacturing sectors, contributing to both residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Construct custom cabinets and furniture according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood components using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Install cabinetry, fixtures, doors, and hardware accurately on-site or in workshop
- Perform finishing work including caulking, sanding, staining, and sealing to achieve desired aesthetics
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the fabrication process
- Assist with other carpentry or remodeling tasks as needed within the construction or restoration projects
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry fabrication and installation within the construction or restoration industry
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and metal stud framing equipment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for custom projects
- Familiarity with construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall finishing (plastering), roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical experience, plumbing, masonry, and other related trades is advantageous
- Experience with heavy lifting and working on construction sites is preferred
- Background in water damage restoration or mold remediation is a plus
- Prior experience with fixture installation, door hanging, siding work, or metal stud framing is beneficial
- Ability to interpret technical instructions for fabrication processes such as concrete forming or rebar installation is desirable

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
