Scientific Affairs Specialist6-Month Contract | $35.80/hrTarget Start: February 16, 2026Preferred: Hybrid White Plains, NY | Open to RemoteRole OverviewWe are seeking a Scientific Affairs Specialist to support health and nutrition communications for consumer food and beverage brands. This role is execution-focused and centers on developing, organizing, and adapting existing scientific and nutrition content for healthcare professional audiences.This position does not involve original research or independent clinical strategy. It is best suited for someone early in their career who is strong in scientific writing, organization, and cross-functional coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport development and maintenance of scientific and nutrition dossiers using existing research and approved data.Translate scientific information into clear, compliant nutrition content for healthcare professionals.Assist in creating category and brand-level nutrition materials targeted to HCP audiences.Support outreach initiatives to healthcare professionals such as Registered Dietitians, primary care providers, and pediatric-focused stakeholders.Assist with participation in nutrition, science, and medical conferences, including exhibit support and HCP engagement.Coordinate with external agencies, consultants, and freelance writers as needed.Track project timelines, approvals, updates, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.Ensure materials align with internal review standards and regulatory guidance.Collaborate with marketing, regulatory, legal, and medical partners to keep projects moving.Required QualificationsBachelor of Science required.Degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Biology, Public Health, or related field preferred.1 to 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:Scientific or medical communicationsNutrition or health content developmentMedical affairs or regulatory supportHealth, wellness, or consumer science rolesStrong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to summarize and adapt scientific information for non-technical audiences.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.Preferred (Not Required)Experience developing nutrition or health-related communication tools.Exposure to healthcare professional audiences.Experience working with agencies or external vendors.Familiarity with food, beverage, nutrition, or consumer health industries.Work Environment6-month contract.Pay rate: $35.80/hr.Hybrid preferred in White Plains, NY.Open to remote candidates.Standard business hours with occasional flexibility during conference support.Ideal Candidate ProfileEarly-career scientific or nutrition professional.Strong writer and coordinator.Comfortable working from existing science rather than generating new research.Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable.Looking to gain brand-side scientific affairs experience.
