Project SchedulerNuclear ProjectsRichland, WAPay Range: • Project Scheduler: 55 to 77 per hour • Senior Project Scheduler: 57 to 82 per hourSchedule: 4x10sPer Diem: Yes ($110/day for housing & $80/day for food)- Rates decrease by 75% after 90 days- Must be over 50 miles away from Richland WARole OverviewThis position supports nuclear and engineering project teams through detailed schedule development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting for online work, outage work, lifecycle projects, and long-range planning. The scheduler will work within both Primavera and Passport and must be able to produce accurate, compliant, risk-informed schedules used daily by plant leadership and project teams.Core Responsibilities (applies to both levels)Build, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in Primavera and Passport.Develop sequencing, duration, critical-path logic, and risk considerations for assigned projects.Create and maintain lifecycle schedules and multi-year project plans.Support refueling outage scheduling and project-related outage preparations.Maintain schedule integrity and ensure accuracy between Passport and Primavera.Resolve schedule conflicts and coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and work management.Provide schedule reports, summaries, and queries using Crystal Reports or similar tools.Participate in schedule review meetings and support integrated schedule development.Communicate schedule risks, changes, and priorities clearly to project teams.Required Qualifications Comparison(Project Scheduler vs Senior Project Scheduler)Below is the exact difference in education, experience, and technical depth needed for each level.Education and Experience RequirementsProject Scheduler (Standard Level)Requires one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear Engineering or Nuclear Technology and 5 years of nuclear power experience.Associate degree in a related technical field and 7 years of nuclear power experience.High school diploma or GED and 9 years in a nuclear plant journey level craft, qualified watch station, field engineer, or QC role.Senior Project SchedulerRequires one of the following:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear Engineering or Nuclear Technology and 8 years of nuclear power experience.Associate degree in a related technical field and 10 years of nuclear power experience.High school diploma or GED and 12 years in a nuclear plant journey level craft, qualified watch station, field engineer, or QC role.Senior level requires 3 additional years beyond each equivalent path.Technical Skill RequirementsProject Scheduler (Standard Level)Proficiency with Primavera and basic scheduling techniques.Experience with Passport or similar work management systems.Understanding of work control processes, isolations, testing, and plant system impacts.Working knowledge of Crystal Reports or SQL-based reporting tools.Ability to support refueling outage scheduling and lifecycle schedule updates.Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and risk management concepts.Senior Project SchedulerMust meet all Standard level requirements and have:Advanced knowledge of Primavera, scheduling methodology, and critical path analysis.Advanced experience with Passport to Primavera interfaces.Advanced knowledge of outage work processes and procedures.Advanced knowledge of Crystal Reports or SQL reporting.Experience with outage risk management or online risk tools such as Paragon.Ability to direct resources, lead schedule reviews, and influence cross functional work groups.Ability to solve complex scheduling problems with minimal oversight.Senior level requires advanced proficiency and demonstrated leadership in schedule development.Certification and Training RequirementsProject SchedulerPreferred, not required:Primavera 106 or equivalent training.PMP Certification.Reactor Operator License (preferred but not required).Senior Project SchedulerStrongly preferred or required at this level:Primavera 106 Certification or four years of direct Primavera experience.PMP Certification is required.SRO License or Certification preferred.Experience with Paragon risk management software highly desired.Senior level expects certifications or deep equivalent experience.Soft Skills and Competencies (Both Levels)Strong communication skills with ability to convey technical information clearly.Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to build integrated schedules.Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.Strong understanding of nuclear professionalism, procedural compliance, and station values.Ability to support schedule reviews and participate in planning meetings.
