Overview
This role supports a multi-discipline Maintenance organization inside a commercial nuclear power plant.
You will own maintenance workforce scheduling, fatigue management, and outage support for a union craft workforce. This role sits at the center of operations and compliance, ensuring work is scheduled correctly, safely, and within regulatory and union constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling and Workforce Planning
- Own eSOMs scheduling for maintenance teams
- Maintain man-loading calendars and workforce availability
- Coordinate vacation schedules, training, and shift coverage
Fatigue Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with 10CFR26 fatigue rules
- Analyze overtime, training, and travel impacts on workforce availability
- Provide recommendations on workforce capacity
Union and Workforce Coordination
- Apply union contract rules and LOAs to scheduling decisions
- Manage overtime callouts, rotations, and shift changes
- Maintain overtime lists and workforce tracking
Outage Support
- Support refueling and forced outages including nights/weekends
- Coordinate scheduling for 40 personnel online and up to 90 during outages
- Support onboarding, scheduling, and workforce tracking during outages
Administrative and Reporting
- Run reports for payroll audits and workforce tracking
- Manage time entry, training tracking, and compliance documentation
- Maintain dashboards and scheduling systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years relevant experience
OR
- Associate’s degree and 7 years relevant experience
OR
- High school diploma and 7 years in technical environment
- Experience in scheduling or workforce coordination
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial nuclear experience preferred
- DOE nuclear acceptable if candidate has direct scheduling ownership
- Experience with union workforce environments
- Experience with eSOMs or similar scheduling systems
- Experience supporting outages or large workforce operations
