Cross of Christ seeks a part-time Youth Ministry Leader who will help create a culture where students discover that they are known, that faith is real and worth exploring, and that as they follow Jesus their lives can make a difference right now.

This leader will oversee ministry opportunities for middle school and high school students (currently 30 students), including youth groups, volunteer teams, servant events, retreats, Confirmation, and mission trips. More than running programs, this role exists to build relationships, develop leaders, and equip volunteers, parents, and students to follow Jesus together.

Reports to: Senior Pastor

Hours: 12–15 hours per week

Salary: $15,600–$19,500 annually ($20-$25 per hour, based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Build relationships with middle school and high school students.
• Teach the Bible both in large group and small group settings.
• Support confirmation ministry and help students connect with worship and the life of the church.
• Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers and emerging student leaders.
• Plan and lead retreats, mission trips, servant events, and other youth activities.
• Partner with parents in the spiritual growth of their students.
• Work with church staff and volunteers to create a ministry that is welcoming, safe, organized, and sustainable.
