Server – Residential Living Dining

Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community (CKV) is currently seeking friendly and dedicated individuals to become a part of our dining team and help provide our residents with quality meals and a dignified dining experience. As a Server working at CKV, we will provide you with opportunities to enjoy a friendly work environment guided by Christian values.

Our current needs include:

• ​​​​​Part-time Day Shift working 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 10:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. 20 hours every two weeks. Must be available to work every other Saturday and some holidays. 
• On-call as needed, with the ability to work evenings, weekends and rotating holidays.

Campus Dining in Residential Living at Cross Keys Village provides a wide array of options. Our Harmony Ridge building is home to two exceptional choices: The Campus Inn and Harmony Café. Team members working in these environments may be providing table-side service to residents, team members or guests at The Campus Inn for dinner. They may also serve at Harmony Café, a more relaxed atmosphere that allows for quick orders and a delicious breakfast or lunch.

Job Description:

As a Server, your scope of responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

• Seating and taking customer’s orders.
• Serving food and beverages.
• Preparing orders for the kitchen and checks for register checkout.
• Answering the telephone and recording reservations or to-go orders as needed.
• Explaining the preparation of menu items to customers.
• Cleaning tables, removing dirty dishes and keeping service areas stocked with supplies.
• Setting tables with clean tablecloths, napkins, silverware and glassware.
• Assisting with cleaning dishes, pots and pans, equipment, and work areas of the kitchen when needed. 
• Following specific detailed instructions, policies and procedures, including sanitation and infectious control standards.
• Ensuring prompt and courteous services, so the meal meets/exceeds customer expectations.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience in dining and/or a health care setting preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge to read work-related materials and to follow directions required.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to routinely interact with residents, families, team members and visitors.
