Fleet Manager / Mechanical Inspector (Bilingual)
Location: Dalhart, Texas
Job Type: Full-time
Objective:
Ensure fleet availability, safety, and DOT compliance through inspections, diagnostics, and road tests, contributing to a safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical inspections on trucks and trailers
- Conduct road tests to validate unit conditions
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety issues
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate repairs with internal/external shops
- Evaluate drivers during road tests
- Track unit status and availability
- Document inspections and reports
Requirements
- Technical degree in Diesel Mechanics or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in fleet maintenance or inspections
- Knowledge of diesel systems, brakes, and transmissions
- Intermediate English
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- DOT Inspector certification (preferred)
