Speech Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.
- Assist as needed with patient screens for Speech Therapy.
- Communicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.
- Complete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.
- Assist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.
- Provide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient’s specific plan of care and recommendations for follow-up.
- Maintain productivity standards as expected by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Current Texas licensure as an SLP is required
