Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced leader to join our team as the Childcare Manager. This individual will be responsible for the overall direction, development, and management of our Child Care. They will also assist and help the Youth Program Manager with youth programming and help build a strong Shift Lead Team. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary with a strong background in childhood development and program management, dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment that aligns with the Cross Gates mission of promoting family wellness.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Childcare & Management

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that are fun, engaging, and promote physical, social, and emotional development for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

  
  

• Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and member satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise the childcare team.

• Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture that reflects the friendly and professional values of Cross Gates.

• Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.

  
  

Operational Excellence

• Oversee the daily operations of childcare, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and parents.

• Ensure all programs are compliant with state and local regulations, as well as company health and safety standards.

  
  

Manage the Business

• Oversee the P&L and financial statements

  
  
• Develop and manage annual budgets
  
  
• Monitor payroll and expenses
  
  
• Lead using existing KPIs
  
  

• Ensure the long-term viability and profitability of the club

  
  

Requirements:

• MUST LOVE CHILDREN, MUST BE FUN!

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management or leadership role within child care, camp administration, recreation, or a related field.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management, Elementary Education, or a related field is highly preferred.

• Proven experience in program development, curriculum design, and staff management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a talent for managing multiple priorities.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain them upon hiring.

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

  
  

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by program schedules.
