What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Associate position at Cross Creek Animal Hospital?
Cross Creek Animal Hospital's boarding facility is looking for a full time kennel attendant!
Our boarding staff is responsible for taking care of all of our boarding and doggie daycare pets including feeding, medicating, walking, monitoring play groups, cleaning, and full bathing services. The boarding staff also occasionally assists doctors and veterinary technicians in our hospital.
Hours for this position range between 6am and 7pm, seven days a week. Applicant must be available to work any hours weekdays and weekends, and be available to work on all holidays. Must also be able to work under severe weather conditions, in direct contact with animals, and spend a large amount of time cleaning. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and to be on your feet for the majority of the day. Employment also requires strong customer service and administrative skills: answering a multi-line phone system, using our Cornerstone computer software, filing paperwork, handling medical records, and interacting with clients.
We are looking for a detail-oriented person who will be hard-working and reliable. Drug testing is required upon hire. Some benefits are available after a 90-day introductory period. Compensation is based on experience.
Experience is not necessary- we are willing to train the right person!
