What are the responsibilities and job description for the TELLER LINE SUPERVISOR position at Cross County Savings Bank?
Job Summary: Supervises the daily customer service and operations of the teller staff; ensuring the accuracy, integrity and security of Bank records and assets in the branch. This includes, but is not limited to maintaining supervisory control over cash and negotiable instruments inventories; exercising prudent judgment in accordance within the branch authority levels and policies outlined in the procedure manual; opening a Teller window and performing CSR functions as necessary; also performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned per management discretion. Job Functions:
- Monitoring teller activity, making sure they stay within their cash limits and ensuring they are adhering to the policies as outlined in the procedure manual.
- Responsible for balancing the vault and proving the branch to its required totals at the end of day.
- Ordering cash and coin from Chase to ensure the proper functioning of the branch for its daily activities and customer demands.
- Performing monthly surprise cash audits and daily teller work review.
- Positively identifying customer information accuracy before providing overrides.
- Training tellers in all aspects of banking operations and providing special attention to other areas if needed.
- Maintaining customer service standards at all times; responding to their inquires in a positive, efficient, and professional manner.
- Balancing ATMs and releasing holds on ATM funds for customers.
- Monitoring customer account activity and filling out CTR forms and other daily reports as necessary. Work Activities:
- Maintaining proper judgment and cash management.
- Guiding, directing, and motivating tellers.
- Performing necessary administrative activities.
