Position: Front Desk Receptionist / Registrar (Full-Time)
Practice: Cross County Cardiology
Locations: Hoboken, NJ, Edgewater, NJ, and 3 other Northern NJ offices– must be willing to work across multiple locations periodically
EHR System: Athena One

Cross County Cardiology, a busy multi-site cardiology practice affiliated with Mount Sinai, is seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Registrar to join our team. This role is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a key part in delivering an excellent experience in a fast-paced specialty practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner
• Check patients in and out; verify demographics, insurance, and referrals
• Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and procedures
• Answer phones, take messages, and route calls appropriately
• Register new patients and update existing records in Athena One EHR
• Scan documents and records into patient charts
• Confirm upcoming appointments and obtain necessary authorizations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
• Support other administrative tasks as needed
• Travel between practice locations as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a medical office, cardiology, or specialty practice preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with computers and electronic health records (Athena One experience a plus)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy, high-volume environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy with insurance and patient information
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at multiple Northern New Jersey locations
• Professional appearance and demeanor
