Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Nurse for a temporary assignment in an acute care setting. The position involves providing specialized care within a step-down or telemetry unit, with responsibilities aligned to the candidates skills and experience. The role begins on September 20, 2026, and concludes on December 19, 2026. Job Details Position: RN - Step Down Unit (Med-Surg/Telemetry) Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Current nursing license, valid drivers license or state ID, at least 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience, RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills completion, eligibility to float within skill set or to sites within 40 miles, EPIC experience, professional references, and a valid professional profile Preferred Qualifications: Experience with traveler assignments and Epic electronic health record system Additional Information: Travelers may be placed on units where the greatest need exists, whether PCU or Med-Surg/Telemetry, based on skills and experience. Credentialing for both Med-Surg and Step Down skills is required, and the ability to float onsite within the skill set or to nearby sites is necessary.
