Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia. This position is based in a healthcare facility located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The PACU Nurse will perform pre- and post-operative assessments, monitor patient recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details: Position: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Shift Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts, with scheduled start times between 0600 and 0800 depending on departmental needs. Call responsibilities are based on department requirements, typically 1-2 shifts per week during weekdays, every third weekend (ending at 0630 on Monday morning), and rotating holidays with staff. Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support); valid license in Wisconsin; ability to work day shifts; no minimum experience required, but experience in pre/post anesthesia care, operating rooms, gastrointestinal (GI), interventional radiology (IR), and post-anesthesia care (PACU) is preferred. Additional Information: Candidates should have travel experience and familiarity with EPIC electronic health records. Flexibility to float onsite within their skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed is required.
