Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Vascular Surgery Registered Nurse (RN) in Morgantown, West Virginia. The role involves providing specialized vascular surgical care within the Heart and Vascular Institute. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment and demonstrate experience in vascular, cardiac, or thoracic surgery settings.
Job Details:
- Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, typically from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Call shifts and holiday coverage are required.
- Required Qualifications: Diploma (to be provided during onboarding for a POC license), POC license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery.
- Experience: Knowledge of open vascular and endovascular procedures; ability to circulate and sedate; experience with peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgery (EVAR, TCAR, TAG).
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification are required.
- Additional Requirements: Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility; previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years; previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years; mandatory call response time of 30 minutes; may need to float within other services of the Heart and Vascular Institute.
- Other Notes: Unit orientation lasts 1 week; cancellation policy entails 2 shifts per 13-week contract; holiday call may be required; EMR system used is EPIC.
