Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Farmington, Connecticut. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities including circulating and scrub functions across various surgical specialties such as neuro, spine, orthopedics, vascular, and robotic cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Farmington, Connecticut
- Schedule: Rotating hours based on need includes shifts starting at 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 1:00 PM, with on-call duties, rotating weekends, and holidays. Time off requests must be kept to a minimum and require prior approval.
- Required Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of operating room (OR) registered nurse (RN) or combined OR experience
- Circulate experience is required
- Preferred scrub experience, especially in neuro, spine, orthopedics, vascular, and DaVinci robotic cases
- Must be comfortable performing surgeries independently in ortho, spine, and neuro specialties
- Certifications, education requirements, and location requirements are to be met as per agency standards.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to scrub in neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedics procedures
- Experience with complex surgeries and robotic cases.
- Additional Information:
- Mandatory overtime may be required as part of the rotation pool of staff to ensure coverage for the unit.
- The facility may float or reassign staff within a 30-mile radius based on clinical competence.
- Time off requests should be minimized and pre-approved.
