A Quality Improvement Nurse specializing in Utilization Review and Quality Assurance is sought for a position within a suburban healthcare organization. This role involves reviewing safety events, performing chart audits and root cause analysis, validating abstracted metrics, collecting data for external reporting, and assisting with various quality improvement projects. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient safety and quality initiatives over an initial 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension.
Job Details:
- Location: Suburban healthcare organization
- Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, 3 years RN experience in Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Peri-Operative, or Medical/Surgical settings, quality improvement or patient safety experience; EPIC experience
- Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 travel assignments in a similar role
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include reviewing safety events, performing chart audits and root cause analysis concerning pressure injuries or falls with injury, validation of abstracted metrics, data collection for external reporting, and supporting the quality improvement team in developing reports for quality committees and councils.
