Job Summary
Step Down Unit Nurse (Specialty: Step Down) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing skilled nursing care to patients requiring intermediate clinical support. The position demands adaptability to care for a wide variety of patients, including those experiencing stroke, cardiac conditions, post-operative recovery, and general medical issues, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Job Details
- Certifications/Education Requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIH; Must have at least 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical (MS) or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) environments.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of relevant experience, experience with EPIC and travel assignments, ability to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles.
- Additional Information: Must be adaptable and able to care for a wide variety of patients stroke, cardiac (preferably cardiac drips), post-op patients (orthopedic, gen surgery, GYN, GU, etc), and general medical cases. Some on-site floating within skill sets or nearby sites may be required.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must submit an updated Ascension profile, Nursys license verification, professional references, and drivers license or state ID.
