Job Summary:
A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position is available in a healthcare facility located in Maine. This role involves providing specialized recovery care for post-anesthesia patients, ensuring safe and effective patient monitoring and management during the immediate postoperative period. The position requires prior experience in an acute care or critical care environment and involves a schedule of daytime shifts with weekend call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must have at least two years of experience in an ASU (Acute Surgical Unit) or PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) or Critical Care unit. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include providing quality recovery care, patient monitoring, and ensuring safety during post-anesthesia recovery.
- Submission of proper timecards is required for payroll processing.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
