Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor nurse is located at a healthcare facility within a hospital. This role involves providing specialized care on a busy oncology unit, including chemotherapy administration and blood product management. The position is ideal for nurses with at least one year of relevant experience seeking a structured assignment in a hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week, with the assignment starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in the state of practice, ACLS, BLS certifications, and at least 2 years of nursing experience. Oncology experience is preferred. Candidate must have a current driver's license and a permanent home address matching their identification. Certification in chemotherapy/bio is required within one year of employment for Lutheran employed staff.
• Preferred Qualifications: Oncology background is a plus.
• Floating: Floating to other units may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • This position is on a 24-bed medical/surgical oncology unit.
  • Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration and blood product handling.
  • EMR system used is Cerner.
  • Scrub color is navy blue.
  • Attendees must attach all required licenses and certifications with their submission.
  • Travelers must be located more than 50 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.
  • Position involves working on a busy oncology floor, with a focus on patient safety and treatment protocols.
