Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care at a facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position involves providing direct patient care within a Level III NICU setting, requiring candidates to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role offers the opportunity to work various shift times, including days or nights, with a commitment of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Required Qualifications: Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NRP certification, minimum of 2 years of Level III NICU experience, proficiency with EPIC computer charting and Pyxis medication administration.
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Orientation is scheduled Monday through Friday during week 1 and Monday to Tuesday during week 2, with 8 hours dedicated to non-billable orientation hours. Mandatory attendance is required for all 7 days of orientation. Clinicians returning within 12 months of their last worked date are not eligible for non-billable orientation. Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles, with a 12% reduction of the regular bill rate. The client may call off or cancel up to 24 hours prior for each 13-week assignment.
- Equipment utilized in the unit: EPIC computer charting, Pyxis medication administration.
- Patient population: Neonates in Level III NICU.
- Responsibility: Provide patient care, potentially float to age-appropriate Pediatric (Peds) or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed.
