The role requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on age-specific criteria, with a focus on cardiac patients.

Job Details:

• Location: Lima, Ohio


• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days, with every other weekend coverage


• Required Qualifications: Valid Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; 2 years of experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing; ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria; proficiency with cardiac medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex, and knowledge of titration; competence in telemetry and recognizing heart rhythm changes; critical thinking and the ability to intervene upon patient status changes; knowledge of stroke signs/symptoms.


• Preferred Qualifications: Skills checklist current within one year relevant to the specialty (Med Surg/Telemetry).


• Additional Information: This position involves adhering to SOPs, with responsibilities including assessment, intervention, and education of non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
