Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Shelby, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/24/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit, including telemetry monitoring and handling diverse patient diagnoses. The RN will work night shifts and contribute to a dynamic, patient-centered environment. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts from 06:45 PM to 07:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; 18 months of medical-surgical and telemetry RN experience; located within the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system (minimum 6 months). Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Various diagnoses including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and others in a fast-paced setting. Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5-6 (in surge scenarios up to 1:7-8), CNA: 1:12. Support within the Department: CNA support, charge nurse always available as resource, phlebotomy, IV team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist and intensivist on site or available remotely, telemetry monitoring with remote telemetry technician. Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, IV Pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Omnicell), patient monitors (Massimo). Floating: Will be required to float within region and scope of practice, including facilities in Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division, and other listed facilities. Floating mid-shift will be paid for travel time. Orientation: Two days of departmental orientation. Other Notes: Scrub color: Navy, Free parking, supportive unit culture.
