Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Floor located at a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing patient care to short stay orthopedic, urology, and plastics surgery patients, with a focus on post-surgical support for orthopedic or plastics cases. The position requires adherence to clinical protocols and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team. Job Details: Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience on a medical-surgical unit, proficiency in Epic charting system, and post-surgical skills set in orthopedics or plastics, or equivalent. Valid license in Missouri (MO) or Illinois (IL), or a compact license matching permanent residence. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with orthopedic or plastics post-surgical care, knowledge of total joint replacement procedures, and prior experience in a short-term acute care setting. Additional Information: The assignment duration is from 09/28/2026 to 02/15/2027, accepting 13 or 20-week contracts. Candidates must have at least 2 years of clinical experience. Floating to the med-surg unit may be required within scope of practice. No local candidates within 75 miles are accepted.
