Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary A Medical Surgical Nurse Practitioner (MS) is needed in a healthcare facility to provide specialized patient care on a stroke-focused Surgical Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing services for stroke and general medical-surgical patients, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols. Job Details Certifications: Active Florida state or multi-state license, Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification. Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with relevant licensure. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience; stroke care experience and NIHSS certification required. Location Requirements: Must possess an active Florida license or multi-state license. Schedule: Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, 36 hours per week. Additional Information: NIHSS and stroke-specific experience must be included with submission; the position may require floating to other units if necessary.
