Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) with LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) experience is needed for a private healthcare organization in New Britain, Connecticut. The position is located in a Respiratory Care Unit and involves night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: New Britain, Connecticut
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with 0 or more years of experience; experience with respiratory or vent-dependent patients strongly preferred. Candidates must hold relevant certifications and meet education and degree requirements as per licensure standards.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory/vented patients, ability to perform IV starts, blood administration, EKGs, med titrations, glucose monitoring, wound vac changes, wound dressings, Trach care, suctioning, straight catheter, Foley care, Port Access, central line dressing, and wound measurements.
- Additional Information: This role involves float requirements, supporting various units including respiratory, medically complex rehabilitation, and trauma units, with patient ratios detailed for each unit type. Float rotation may be required based on weekly needs. The RN will not manage ventilators, as ventilator management is handled by respiratory therapists.
