Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Intermediate Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill adult patients in a fast-paced academic medical setting, including trauma, surgical, and specialized medical patients. The position offers an opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team at a Magnet-designated facility. Job Details Location: Madison, WI Position Description: Registered Nurse (RN) will work in both the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Acute Medical/Progressive Care unit and the Thoracic unit. The shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Required Qualifications: Current WI RN or compact RN license, BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association), 2 years of recent acute care experience, experience in telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and progressive care, vent and transplant experience. Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Qualifications: Experience with managing ports, arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, cardiac telemetry, ventilated patients, central lines, chest tubes, and other specialized procedures related to adult critical care. Certifications: ACLS, BLS Additional Information: Traveler will need to pass telemetry test prior to starting; two attempts are allowed with specific passing criteria. Flu vaccine is required; medical or religious exemptions can be considered.
