Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Waimea, Hawaii. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a hospital setting. The ICU RN coordinates, provides, and manages the care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment, including surgical patients and those with respiratory or cardiac conditions. The role requires flexibility to work any shift and involves float responsibilities to other units based on competency. Job Details: Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The assignment spans from 09/03/2026 to 12/03/2026. Required Qualifications: Licensure as a registered nurse, CPR/BLS certification, ICU or CCU experience, willingness to work any shift, and ability to work 80 hours every two weeks. Preferred Qualifications: Emergency room experience, after-hour PACU recovery experience, and competency in float responsibilities to obstetrics (OB), medical-surgical (MS), post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and emergency room (ER) units. Additional Information: The ICU accommodates a 4-bed, 4-room setup with a patient ratio of 1:2 depending on acuity, with additional staffing called in as needed. Orientation includes hospital HR and in-service training, followed by unit-specific orientation with the nurse manager. Completion of orientation and competency binder is required.
