Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized, high-quality care to critically ill adult patients, utilizing advanced monitoring and life support equipment. The position requires collaboration with the healthcare team and adherence to unit protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Valid multistate compact Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; minimum 0 years of experience. Prior ICU experience preferred; prior medical/surgical or emergency department experience a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN and/or TNCC certifications are a plus.
- Additional Information:
- Must badge in and out at the facility.
- Expectation to utilize electronic charting systems, such as EPIC, and advanced equipment including central lines, arterial lines, ventilators, and IABP.
- Critical thinking skills are essential for interpreting hemodynamic monitoring results, responding to patient complications, and managing crisis situations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate with physicians, healthcare workers, and patients families.
- Orientation includes two days of hospital-specific training and 1-2 days of unit-specific orientation, depending on prior experience.
- No call requirement; every other weekend and holiday work is scheduled.
