Job Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse for a Level I Trauma ICU position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients in a fast-paced trauma setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and adhering to best practices and protocols.
Job Details
- Position: ICU Nurse Trauma Level I
- Location: Healthcare facility (generic)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred
- Education & Experience: 2 years of ICU experience preferred; 0 years minimum required; state or compact license in hand at time of submittal
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratios: 2 patients per nurse in ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed
- Charting System: Epic (experience required)
- Additional Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, ICP monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts, ventilator management, trauma ICU care
- Community & Unit Details: 14 rooms, 16 beds, interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams
- Travel Experience: Required
- Float: Float rotation may be required for ICU, IMC, Telemetry units as needed
- Onboarding: Must complete core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; modules completed onsite during orientation
