Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in Massachusetts. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in diverse inpatient settings, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, and family education. The position requires adaptability to different units and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; BLS certification; successful completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module; successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam.
- Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience; travel experience; ability to perform phlebotomy and have IV experience; nurse-patient ratio of 1:5-6; flexibility to float between different units as needed.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include managing patients with chest drainage devices, intravenous therapy, epidural analgesia, telemetry monitoring, cardiac medications, and post-operative care. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
